Church Council Statement on Safeguarding

As the people of the Methodist Church we are concerned with the wholeness of each individual within God’s purposes for everyone. We seek to safeguard all members of the church community, of all ages. It is the responsibility of each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We therefore expect everyone on our premises to adhere to the Safeguarding Policy and guidelines of the Methodist Church. Copies of Brunswick Methodist Church’s Safeguarding Policy and the Newcastle Chinese Methodist Church’s Safeguarding Policy are available on request and can also be found on our Safeguarding Noticeboard located on the right hand wall in the main hall (ground floor).
